Cross-account settings overwrite via unchecked user identifier
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Authorization flaw in wpdevelop Booking Manager before 2.1.21 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite other users' plugin settings. The settings update path trusts a request-supplied user identifier and writes per-user preferences without confirming that it matches the signed-in account. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to target administrators, but published evidence does not establish modification of WordPress roles or credentials.
