Out-of-bounds read in SSSD on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and OpenShift allows local users to terminate or restart the PAM responder. The pam_parse_in_data() protocol v1 parser reads beyond the supplied request buffer when an empty or truncated body omits expected fields. Exploitation requires access to the local PAM responder UNIX socket and can interrupt authentication by terminating or restarting only that responder.
