Cross-organization privilege escalation via unbound token exchange
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Casdoor 2.362.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to escalate privileges across organizations via token exchange. GetTokenExchangeToken in object/token_oauth.go validates a subject JWT with the target application's certificate without confirming its issuer or binding its audience to the requesting client. Possession of a JWT issued for one application is sufficient to obtain a token beyond its intended organizational boundary.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
