Sensitive data disclosure via unprotected user listing
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Missing authorization in the /sys/user/list endpoint in Novel-Plus through 5.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to read user data. The handler omits the permission annotation that restricts administrative operations and returns password hashes, email addresses, and phone numbers for users within the caller's data scope. A valid account is required; exposed hashes enable offline cracking and subsequent account takeover, while access remains bounded by the caller's configured data scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
