Authenticated database creation via omitted server allowlist
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Improper authorization in Froxlor before 2.3.7 allows remote authenticated users to create databases on disallowed MySQL servers. The Mysqls.add API validates mysql_server only as a numeric, configured index and omits the caller's allowed_mysqlserver membership check. Exploitation requires an API-enabled customer, credentials, spare database quota, and at least two configured servers; it creates an attacker-controlled database and MySQL user but does not expose other tenants' data.
