Restricted content disclosure via tagged-item ACL bypass
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Incorrect access control in Joomla! CMS 4.0.0 through 5.4.8 and 6.0.0 through 6.1.3 allows remote attackers to read restricted tagged items. Tagged-item outputs fail to enforce the access restrictions of an item's category before presenting its content. The item must be tagged and belong to a category inaccessible to the requester; the reported consequence is disclosure, not content modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
