Metadata disclosure via missing reaction visibility checks
Published Oct 19, 2026 · Updated Oct 19, 2026
Authorization bypass in Apache Answer 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read restricted reaction metadata via the reaction API. The API omits content visibility checks when reading reaction metadata or adding and removing the caller's own reactions. Network access to the API exposes restricted-content reaction information; reaction changes are limited to the caller's own reactions, not arbitrary content edits.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
