Unauthenticated user impersonation via attacker-signed SAML assertions
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Improper authentication in Casdoor 2.362.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to impersonate users through forged SAML assertions. The buildSpCertificateStore function trusts an X.509 certificate extracted from the incoming SAMLResponse instead of the configured identity-provider certificate. A deployment must use an upstream SAML identity provider; successful exploitation issues an authenticated session for an arbitrary user, including an administrator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
