Forced reboot via unrestricted I/O port writes
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Improper access control in ASRock Polychrome SYNC/RGB for MB through 1.0.118 and VGA through 2.0.219 allows local users to force a reboot. The utility driver accepts a crafted IOCTL from an authenticated local caller and writes to I/O ports without adequately restricting the target ports. Exploitation requires authenticated local access and interrupts service by forcing the Windows operating system to reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
