Stored script execution via unescaped Markdown rendering
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Stored XSS in iTranswarp 2.0 through 2.19 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in readers' browsers via page content. Markdown.toHtml uses sysRenderer without HTML escaping, and templates emit cached article, wiki, or page content through the raw filter. Creating the payload requires Contributor-or-higher privileges; any user who later views the published content triggers it.
