Authenticated command execution via unsafe find allowlist
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Mercury Agent 1.1.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands through run_command. PermissionManager.checkShellCommand treats every find command as a safe read, so find -exec reaches a shell without the expected approval prompt. Dashboard access and influence over a tool invocation are required; commands run with the Mercury process account's access.
