Origin spoofing via reordered RTL hostname previews
Published May 25, 2026 · Updated May 25, 2026
Origin spoofing in Firefox for iOS before 151.1 allows remote attackers to present attacker-controlled sites as trusted origins. The link preview UI renders specially crafted right-to-left and internationalized hostnames in a visually reordered form instead of preserving an unambiguous domain order. A user must view the crafted link preview; the flaw misrepresents the destination origin but does not itself grant site access or code execution.
