Credential disclosure via incomplete log sanitization
Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026
Sensitive-data exposure in Red Hat Satellite 6.18 and 6.19 allows local users with container-log access to read authentication credentials. At INFO level, the MCP Python SDK logs new mcp-session-id values, while DEBUG LoggingMiddleware masks only four header keys and records other headers in cleartext. Access to standard or aggregated container logs exposes bearer tokens, session IDs, API keys, cookies, and Satellite secrets without altering service state.
