Code injection in WebSphere WebServer Plug-ins 8.5 and 9.0 allows remote attackers to execute code or interrupt service. The Intelligent Management plug-in processes crafted responses from an attacker-impersonated backend as input to code generation. Exploitation requires Intelligent Management, the optional WebServer Plug-in, and backend impersonation; IBM has not disclosed the exact parsing flaw or denial-of-service failure mode.
