Use-after-free via premature node unregister
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Use-after-free in GPAC MP4Box f1219cde and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the process via crafted scene-graph content. During node replacement, gf_node_replace unregisters the old node before notifying its parent, so gf_node_changed_internal can traverse freed scene-graph memory. Processing attacker-supplied scene content is required; public evidence establishes a process-level memory-safety failure, not code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
