Reflected XSS via unvalidated CDN host
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Reflected XSS in WP Compress before 7.10.04 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a visitor's site session via a crafted link. The front-end loader accepts the test_zone query parameter as the asset CDN host, rewrites registered script URLs to that origin, and injects them as script elements without validating the host. The CDN feature must be enabled and a visitor must follow the crafted link; the attacker-controlled script then runs with the target site's session context.
