Local process crash via malformed scene input
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Null pointer dereference in GPAC MP4Box through f1219cde allows local users to crash the process with crafted input. The failure occurs in scenegraph/vrml_tools.c, but the published record and cited patch do not name the dereferencing function or malformed field. Exploitation requires local execution of MP4Box against attacker-controlled content and interrupts only that process.
