CVE-2026-90578Hinoki check available

Local denial of service via freed list access

Published Sep 13, 2026 · Updated Sep 13, 2026

A use-after-free in GPAC MP4Box up to f1219cde allows local users to crash the process via crafted media manipulation. The gf_list_count function in utils/list.c accesses a list after its storage has been released during MP4Box processing. Exploitation requires local execution of a specially crafted input, and the demonstrated consequence is a process crash rather than remote code execution or network service compromise.
