Administrator account creation via user-controlled role
Published Sep 13, 2026 · Updated Sep 13, 2026
Improper authorization in Rizwan17 Inventory Management System allows remote attackers to create administrator accounts. The registration handler passes the user-controlled usertype value from register.php to createUserAccount without restricting it to a nonprivileged role. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; all revisions through commit bfe78a330d01bb26b9daec5dc9ecd5c77900e03f are affected, with administrator capabilities as the consequence.
