Kernel panic via undersized IP packets

Denial of service in the 9front kernel networking stack allows remote attackers to trigger a kernel panic with short IP packets. The udpiput, tcpiput, rdpiput, ilpullup, and greiput paths accept packets shorter than their required headers before trimblock processes the inconsistent lengths. No authentication or user interaction is required; a reachable host panics and interrupts service, with no reported data exposure or modification.
