Private playlist disclosure via unchecked user identifier

Published Sep 12, 2026 · Updated Sep 12, 2026

Missing authorization in WWBN AVideo before 25.0 allows remote attackers to read private playlists through a user-controlled identifier. The playlistsFromUser.json.php endpoint passes users_id to PlayList::getAllFromUser with non-public filtering disabled and without checking login or ownership. Any network visitor who knows or enumerates an identifier can obtain Favorite and Watch Later playlist metadata belonging to that user.
