Account takeover via unrestricted password update
Published Sep 13, 2026 · Updated Sep 13, 2026
Improper privilege management in lenve vhr 1.0-SNAPSHOT allows remote authenticated users to overwrite account passwords. HrInfoController.updateHr accepts a client-supplied HR object, and the selective HrMapper update writes a non-null Password field without an ownership or capability restriction. Any authenticated account that can reach the update operation can replace another account's credential and assume that account's access.
