Freed-memory access via SPI interrupt teardown race
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux's oc-tiny SPI driver allows attackers to access freed kernel memory via interrupts during device removal. spi_controller_put() frees the controller and handler data before free_irq() drains tiny_spi_irq(), which then dereferences the freed data. The condition requires an active controller and a late or latched interrupt during removal; public evidence does not establish code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
