Kernel crash via freed SMMU fallback dereference
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Use-after-free in Linux 6.12 through 7.2.5 allows local users to corrupt kernel memory or crash systems during Tegra241 CMDQV probing. When devm_krealloc() relocates the smmu, __tegra241_cmdqv_probe() retains a freed pointer that its fallback path dereferences after a later failure. The path requires NVIDIA Tegra241 CMDQV hardware and a post-reallocation probe failure; the resulting memory corruption can interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
