CVE-2026-90426

Kernel crash via interrupt teardown race

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

A teardown race in Linux 6.12's Tegra241 IOMMU driver allows local users to crash the kernel via an interrupt during device removal. tegra241_cmdqv_remove() frees virtual interfaces before disabling the error IRQ, allowing tegra241_cmdqv_isr() to pass a NULL or freed pointer to tegra241_vintf0_handle_error(). Exposure requires the affected driver and an error interrupt during teardown; vendor assessments require high local privileges and identify availability loss, not data access or privilege escalation.
