CVE-2026-90422

Resource leak via incomplete PLL registration cleanup

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

An I/O mapping leak in Linux MediaTek clock handling allows attackers to leave mappings allocated via failed PLL registration. The mtk_clk_register_pllfhs error path unregisters PLLs but fails to release the fhctl node's I/O mapping. The leak requires PLL registration failure in the affected driver; an attacker-controlled trigger and resulting crash or hang are not disclosed.
