Kernel crash via premature SCM state access
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
NULL dereferences in Linux 6.3 Qualcomm SCM allow local users to crash the kernel via interrupts during driver initialization. qcom_scm_probe() enables IRQ handling before publishing __scm, which IRQ helpers and probe-time WAITQ_SLEEP completion handling dereference while still NULL. Exposure requires affected Qualcomm SCM hardware and early-probe timing; vendor assessments require privileged local access, and no data disclosure or modification is established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
