CVE-2026-90381Hinoki check available

Adjacent kernel compromise via cross-band context aliasing

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

Use-after-free in the mt76 Wi-Fi driver in Linux 6.14 through 7.2.5 allows adjacent attackers to compromise the kernel via spoofed frames. mt76_switch_vif_chanctx() applies the first interface's new channel context to every switched link and skips per-radio channel updates, leaving dangling pointers after the aliased context is freed. An associated station with mt7996 multi-radio hardware is exposed to matching-BSSID CSA beacons or action frames, leading to kernel disclosure, writes, control-flow manipulation, or a crash.
