Traffic stalls via incorrect receive queue selection
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Receive-queue errors in the Linux 6.18 mt76 Wi-Fi driver allow attackers to stall incoming traffic via wireless frames. The RRO 3.0 receive path queues released frames under the data queue ID instead of MT_RXQ_RRO_IND, leaving them outside the indicator queue NAPI poll. The affected path requires RRO 3.0; reception is delayed and reordered until data queue polling runs, and the disclosure describes no attacker-controlled trigger or kernel crash.
