Kernel memory corruption via cross-NAPI page recycling
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Race condition in Linux 6.18 through 7.2.5 allows physically proximate attackers to corrupt kernel memory via flooded Wi-Fi frames. The mt76 RXDMAD_C path directly returns pages to a pool owned by another NAPI, allowing concurrent lockless updates to reuse stale pages or overrun the allocation cache. Exploitation requires an active mt7996 or mt7992 HWRRO v3.1 interface and can disclose or overwrite kernel memory or panic the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
