CVE-2026-90350

Out-of-bounds read via unchecked Wi-Fi link index

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Linux 6.15 mt76 Wi-Fi code allows local users to disrupt kernel operation via an unchecked link ID. Before the first link is added, mt76_vif_link() uses the unspecified link value 15 to index the 15-element mvif->link[] array, reading the adjacent offchannel_link field. Reachability involves mt7996 timestamp and forwarding-path operations; SUSE assesses availability-only impact, but the public notice does not identify a crash or hang.
