Kernel crash via unchecked P2P interface access
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Null dereferences in Linux Kernel's brcmfmac driver allow local users to crash the kernel via wireless action-frame handling. In p2p.c, brcmf_p2p_abort_action_frame accesses vif->ifp and brcmf_p2p_send_action_frame reads saved probe-request information without checking whether the P2P device interface exists. Triggering requires a brcmfmac-backed wireless interface and privileged userspace action-frame operations with that interface absent; no data access or privilege escalation is established.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
