CVE-2026-90332

PCIe interrupt loss via unflushed posted MSI writes

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

Incorrect MSI handling in Linux 6.19.7 and Linux 7.0 through 7.2.5 allows local users to disrupt PCIe endpoint interrupts via target-address changes. The dw_pcie_ep_raise_msi_irq() path unmaps and reprograms its iATU entry without first draining an earlier posted MSI write. Reachability requires Linux to run as a PCI endpoint on compatible controller hardware after the Root Complex changes the MSI address; the documented consequence is lost or misrouted interrupts.
