Local kernel compromise via siw_accept use-after-free
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux kernel's Soft-iWARP accept path allows local users to corrupt kernel memory through an RDMA accept request. When a userspace-supplied queue pair is already in RTS, siw_accept() enters cleanup before linking the incoming endpoint, then drops the wrong reference and writes through the freed endpoint. An unprivileged local user with access to the RDMA character devices can cause kernel-memory disclosure or corruption, control-flow hijacking, or a kernel panic.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
