CVE-2026-90270

Freed-memory access via MSC unbind

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux 6.19 arm_mpam allows local users to access freed kernel memory via MSC unbind and schemata reads. Unbinding the last MSC for a component frees mpam_component, but resctrl_arch_get_config() still accesses it when the resctrl schemata file is read. Triggering requires privileged sysfs unbind access on an MPAM system; the disclosure establishes invalid memory access, not code execution or a specific crash outcome.
