Subscriber-level audit manipulation via unchecked AJAX action
Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Equalize Digital Accessibility Checker 1.42.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter audit records. The edac_insert_ignore_data AJAX handler accepts issue identifiers and ignore metadata without checking whether the requester may modify the targeted records, and largeBatch updates every row sharing an object identifier. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to hide or dismiss findings site-wide, compromising the integrity of accessibility audits.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
