Protected-post disclosure via locale-only REST authorization
Published Jun 19, 2026 · Updated Jun 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Rock Lobster Inc. Bogo 3.9.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read protected posts via its REST API. The bogo_rest_create_post_translation permission path accepts translation into the default locale, duplicates the source post, and returns raw title, content, excerpt, and password fields without verifying access to that source. A Subscriber can reach the endpoint for a non-default-locale post, but Contributor-level access is required to read the duplicated content.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
