Unspecified impact via interrupt-context memory allocation
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Invalid allocation in Linux 7.2 AST2700 interrupt setup allows local users to cause unspecified impact via interrupt activation. The aspeed_intc1_irq_domain_activate() and aspeed_intc0_resolve_route() functions call fwnode_device_is_compatible(), which indirectly allocates with GFP_KERNEL while a raw spinlock is held and interrupts are disabled. Exposure requires the affected AST2700 controller path; the sources do not identify an attacker-controlled trigger or a specific crash or hang.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
