Kernel-data disclosure via stale queue NAPI pointer
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026
Use-after-free in netdevsim in Linux 6.14 allows local users to read stale kernel data via a Netlink queue dump after queue reset. The nsim_queue_start() function replaces the receive queue without updating its NAPI association, so nla_put_napi_id() reads the freed queue's napi_id during NETDEV_CMD_QUEUE_GET. Triggering the flaw requires administrative access to reset a netdevsim queue; published vendor assessments identify limited disclosure rather than code execution or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
