CVE-2026-90111Hinoki check available

Kernel memory corruption via stale dst cloning

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026

Use-after-free in Linux kernel IPv6 multicast routing from 5.3 through 7.2.5 allows local users to corrupt kernel memory. ip6mr_cache_unresolved queues an skb with a non-refcounted dst beyond its RCU lifetime, and ip6mr_cache_report later clones the freed dst after route deletion and wrong-interface resolution. Low-privileged local access is required; successful triggering can crash the kernel or compromise confidentiality and integrity.
