CVE-2026-90087Hinoki check available

Connection hang via skipped Bluetooth LE failure cleanup

Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 17, 2026

DoS in Linux Bluetooth allows local users to hang outgoing LE connections by triggering rejection of a second pending connection. In net/bluetooth/hci_sync.c, create_le_conn_complete() compares the failed connection with the first pending connection and skips hci_conn_failed() when they differ. Two overlapping LE connection attempts are required; the leaked BT_CONNECT state blocks further outgoing connections until the adapter is reset.
