Authenticated private-content disclosure via unchecked shortcode attributes
Published Jun 6, 2026 · Updated Jun 6, 2026
Missing authorization in webvitalii Page-list 6.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private WordPress page content. The pagelist_unqprfx_ext_shortcode() handler passes attacker-controlled post_status, post_type, and show_meta_key values to get_pages() and get_post_meta() without checking whether the rendering account can read each result. Contributor-level access is required to place the shortcode in a draft and preview it, exposing unrelated private or draft titles, bodies, excerpts, and arbitrary post metadata.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
