Unauthenticated request forgery through deployed Ajax Proxy
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
SSRF in IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5 and 9.0 allows remote attackers to send unauthorized requests through a deployed Ajax Proxy. IBM has not disclosed the specific Ajax Proxy request-validation error that permits attacker-selected destinations. Exposure requires the deprecated AjaxProxy.war to be deployed directly or embedded in an EAR; successful requests can bypass security controls or disclose information.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
