Unspecified impact via non-zerocopy devmem transmission
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Improper validation in Linux allows attackers to cause unspecified impact by submitting a devmem TCP transmit request without zero-copy. tcp_sendmsg_locked() takes the copy path from an iovec containing dma-buf offsets when NETIF_F_SG is absent, permitting net-iov and page fragments to be mixed in one skb and breaking kernel invariants. The path requires an io_uring request carrying dmabuf_id and zero-copy flags without the corresponding devmem binding; no more specific consequence is published.
