Display-service interruption via misallocated CCS storage
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Memory corruption in Linux 6.13 causes a persistent black screen during cold boot on affected Intel Battlemage G21 systems. get_flat_ccs_offset() rounds the hardware-reported flat CCS base upward and gives the intervening compression-owned bytes to the VRAM allocator. The condition requires a nonaligned flat CCS base; compression metadata can then overwrite an allocated page-table tail and repeatedly restart the display manager.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
