Undefined behavior via unchecked ACPI property result
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Improper error handling in Linux 6.12 allows attackers to trigger undefined behavior through an absent or invalid ACPI codec property. loongson_card_parse_acpi() ignores the result from device_property_read_string() and later uses an uninitialized codec-dai-name pointer. Reachability requires a Loongson ASoC device whose firmware omits that property or provides an invalid value; no more specific consequence is published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
