Stale guest translations via rollover-prone TLBI comparison
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Improper TLB invalidation in Linux KVM arm64 6.16 allows guest OS users to retain stale translations at the end of the TTBR1 VA space. The VNCR range comparison tests an address against an exclusive base-plus-size end, which wraps to zero for the final page or block and skips invalidation. Reachability requires arm64 KVM nested virtualization and a TLBI range at that boundary; no further security consequence is published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
