Kernel memory corruption via unchecked MSI data
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in LoongArch KVM EIOINTC in Linux 6.13 allows local users holding a VM fd to corrupt kernel memory via crafted MSI data. pch_msi_set_irq passes unvalidated MSI data to eiointc_set_irq, which uses values of 256 or greater as bit and array indexes beyond the EIOINTC allocation. Access to a LoongArch KVM VM file descriptor is required, and the documented consequence is kernel-memory corruption rather than a demonstrated privilege escalation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
