CVE-2026-89848

Kernel memory misuse via late response interrupt

Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026

Use-after-free in the Linux qla2xxx SCSI driver allows attackers to cause unspecified impact during request-queue teardown. qla2xxx_delete_qpair frees request-queue memory before releasing the response-queue MSI-X interrupt, allowing queued work to dereference the freed rsp->req pointer. Reachability requires a qla2xxx queue-pair teardown to race a late response interrupt; public sources establish neither attacker control of that race nor a more specific consequence.
