Host-map corruption via unlocked concurrent update
Published Sep 16, 2026 · Updated Sep 16, 2026
Race condition in Linux's qla2xxx SCSI driver allows attackers to corrupt the host-map btree during report-ID processing. The format-1 path in qla24xx_report_id_acquisition() releases vport_slock before qla_update_host_map() mutates the shared ha->host_map btree. Reaching the flaw requires concurrent host-map updates on a system using the qla2xxx Fibre Channel driver; the published record establishes btree corruption but no further security impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
